The EBInnov® research unit
EBI research takes place in the school in conjunction with our partner laboratories, with the aim of innovating for health, well-being and safety, to improve the quality of life and safety of people. It incorporates the 17 sustainable development goals, for 5 main sectors: pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, cosmetics, agribusiness and environment.
The laboratory dedicated to bio-product innovation
EBInnov® aims to bridge the gap between its own research themes and industrial innovation. The research themes it develops are aligned with the ongoing transformations in the bio-industries, with a dual objective: to address health and well-being challenges and to reduce the impact of industrial activities on climate, water, resources, and biodiversity. These themes also aim to enrich the research training of engineering and bachelor’s students to support the evolving skills needs of the bio-industries.
The activities of the EBInnov® research unit cover the entire product innovation chain, from the creation of active ingredients to the development of processes, thanks to state-of-the-art equipment. Through partnerships developed with industrial and institutional stakeholders, EBInnov® now brings together three research teams with complementary expertise: BIO4TECH, PRECISE, and TARGET.
