EBInnov® TARGET

Precision Medicine Engineering | Drug Delivery & Healthcare | 3 Themes

  • Delivery systems
  • Identification of biomarkers
  • Predictive modeling of therapeutic targets

Efficiency, safety and sensoriality

EBInnov® TARGET develops integrated precision medicine approaches by linking biomarker identification, predictive modeling, and the design of targeted and theranostic delivery systems. The result: personalized patient care, improved treatment targeting, real-time monitoring of efficacy, and reduced side effects. This expertise is offered through three programs.

  • Materials for drug delivery
  • Prediction of bitterness in pediatric active ingredients
  • Melanoma: Searching for biomarkers for new therapeutic targets

Sourcing of ingredients

Research into new sources of active ingredients and functional ingredients to improve the efficacy, stability and sensory qualities of emulsions, suspensions, gels…

Formulation, design

Development of products combining traditional design technologies and mathematical modelling, in order to efficiently reach technical and sensory targets.

Sensory protocols

Design and validation of sensory methods for topical or ingested products to measure their performance and acceptability. This capability now includes the evaluation of hair formulations on hair strands.

Key projects

  • CalciPro: New polymers for the treatment of arterial calcium levels
  • EBISilc: development of a process for synthesizing organosilicate particles with adjustable amphiphilicity
  • MelaEBiomark: Molecular diagnostics and biomarkers applied to melanoma
  • Octopus: Evaluation of stimulus-sensitive polymers for the release of active molecules

EDCTP Partnership

EBInnov® is part of the international research program PLR “(European & Developing Countries Clinical Trials Partnership), which aims to develop new drug forms of primaquine, a major antimalarial treatment. The aim is to mask the bitterness of primaquine and thus improve its acceptability to children. For this project, the EBInnov® Galenics team defines a methodology for flavour screening using its Sensory Analysis Panel.
