International Programs at EBI

As a school accredited by the Commission des Titres d’Ingénieur (CTI), EBI requires its students to complete at least 17 weeks of international experience during their studies. This mandatory international stay is not merely a formality: it is fully in line with EBI’s commitment to training engineers capable of understanding and addressing global challenges in the field of bio-industries. Through a variety of opportunities—including academic exchanges, dual degrees, and professional internships—EBI supports its students in exploring the world and developing an international profile, in step with the needs of a rapidly expanding sector.

University exchange programs

Academic exchanges are a key component of EBI’s international outreach. Through more than 50 partnerships with universities in Europe, North America, Latin America, Africa, Oceania, and Asia, students can spend one or two semesters abroad while continuing their studies. This immersion not only allows students to discover different pedagogical and scientific approaches, but also to enjoy an enriching cultural experience and improve their foreign language skills.

Dual degrees and bicultural programs

EBI also offers dual-degree programs during the final year of the Engineering Program, allowing students to complete their education with a degree from an international partner institution. By enrolling in a dual-degree program, students earn two degrees, one from EBI and the other from the partner institution. This broadens their career prospects and enhances their recognition in the international job market. These bicultural programs are particularly valued in sectors where knowledge of local practices is an asset.

Here are our 6 partner universities offering dual degrees:

  • University of Sherbrooke in Canada
  • Catholic University of Valencia in Spain
  • Kemmy Business School / University of Limerick in Ireland
  • Cranfield University in the United Kingdom
  • Université Technologique de Sydney en Australie
  • Ming Chi University of Technology in Taiwan

Internships and work experience abroad

As part of their program, EBI students are required to complete several internships, and the school strongly encourages international professional experiences. Partnership agreements with companies and laboratories abroad allow students to gain immersive experience in a variety of professional environments, whether in the Americas, Asia, or Europe. These internships last several months and often provide students with the opportunity to work on innovative projects while discovering the professional practices and culture of their host country.

With its wide range of international opportunities, EBI offers its students much more than just an academic education. It enables them to develop a deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities facing the global life sciences sector. The international experience gained by EBI students is a major asset for their careers, enabling them to stand out in the job market and actively contribute to the most innovative scientific and technological projects.
