Engineer or Bachelor?

Engineer course

EBI offers a 5-year engineering program, divided into an Integrated Preparatory Cycle (2 years) and an Engineering Cycle (3 years). This program combines lectures, practical work in modern laboratories, and internships, providing a customizable education with an international focus.

A customized training program

From the 4th year, students freely choose one of the five majors:

  • Research and Application
  • Design and Development
  • Processes and Production
  • Quality and Regulation
  • Marketing and Management

Minors complement this choice to personalize their path. The fifth year can be completed under a professionalization contract, strengthening the link with the business world.

Internships and international experiences

Internships play a key role in training, including:

  • An internship or an academic exchange abroad: Students often need to be proficient in English and are encouraged to complete part of their studies abroad, including a mandatory 17-week stay, enhancing their employability at the international level
  • A final year internship: From the 4th to the 5th year, students are challenged through high value-added internships in companies. Depending on the needs of the company, the final year internship can be carried out within the framework of a professionalization contract with a maximum duration of 9 months.

A path adapted to the challenges of tomorrow

The engineering program at EBI stands out for its flexibility, international openness, and professional approach. Thanks to a highly personalized curriculum, students can specialize in promising fields while developing a strong practical and international dimension. At the end of their course, EBI graduates are thus perfectly prepared to meet the complex challenges of modern industry and to engage in innovative projects, both locally and internationally. Students who wish to deepen their expertise can continue their studies by pursuing a doctorate, thereby opening the way to careers in research and innovation.

The Bachelor in Biotech Engineering

The Biotech Engineering Bachelor’s offered by EBI is a 3-year training program designed to provide students with a solid scientific foundation while allowing them to specialize in key areas of biotechnology. Students take methodological, scientific, and technical courses that cover the basics of biotechnology, thus offering a comprehensive understanding of the different fields of this discipline.

A structured and progressive program

From the 2nd year, students choose one of the 3 majors offered to specialize in a particular field:

  • Pathway 1: Industrial production
  • Pathway 2: Methods and prevention
  • Pathway 3: Diagnostics and bioinformatics

A practical and international program

The program also includes internships in companies, with a first 16-week internship in the 2nd year and a 24-week final-year internship. These internships allow students to gain concrete professional experience in their field of specialization, while strengthening their practical skills. They are also an opportunity to directly apply the knowledge acquired in class to real projects in companies, thus facilitating their professional integration.

Students are also required to do a 4-week internship or exchange abroad at the end of their first year to broaden their horizons and strengthen their employability on a global scale.

A comprehensive and professionalizing training

Students benefit from practical and theoretical training through the use of modern equipment and advanced laboratory work. Internships in companies and practical projects allow them to acquire key skills, while developing abilities to solve complex problems in an industrial environment. This training delivers a professionalizing diploma, focused on a thorough mastery of scientific and technical fundamentals.
