Public Speaking Competition 2026

The 20th edition of the PQPM – Pourquoi Pas Moi program ended in style with its traditional Eloquence Competition.

For several years, this equal opportunity program has supported high school students from disadvantaged backgrounds, helping them gain confidence, consider pursuing higher education, and develop their public speaking skills. Each week, they are mentored at EBI by student tutors and external experts in a spirit of knowledge transfer and sharing.

This year, participants discussed the question: “What is the problem: bad seeds or bad growers?” A topic that gave rise to committed, profound and courageous speeches, demonstrating all the talent and reflection of our high school students.

Congratulations to all the students and a special mention to our winners:

  • 1st: Roger Bwananoto Zanguno (Pissarro High School)
  • 2nd: Dalil Ali (Galilée High School)
  • 3rd: Kara Meas (Galilée High School)

Congratulations to all the participants for their involvement and the quality of their presentations. A wonderful demonstration that speaking can be a powerful tool for building confidence, self-expression, and success.
