Alpha Power: the 2025 updates
Restructured tests
The written tests focus on scientific subjects and English. Candidates will have to take:
- Mathematics (1h30)
- Applied Sciences (1h)
- English (45 minutes)
These tests will be in the form of multiple-choice questions, with a penalty for wrong answers. In addition, the mathematics and applied science tests will be adapted to the specialties chosen in the final year, thus offering a more personalized competition.
More campuses and programs
The competition is also expanding with the opening of new campuses in Bordeaux, La Réunion, Arras, and Montpellier.
A new partner school
This year, ESITC Metz is joining the competition, thus bringing the number of participating schools to 19.
The steps to become an engineer
To become an engineer in 2025, several steps:
- 1 Parcoursup wish
- 1 grade (50% of the file study and 50% of the written exam scores) per school followed by an admission cutoff in order to maintain the personalization of the grading
- 1 unique day of examination on April 26, 2025
