Work placements
Work placements provide students with sound knowledge of the industry and
enable them to adapt their plans to industrial needs. EBI oversees work
placements and insures its students for accidents in the workplace. There are 3 compulsory work placements:
- One three-month placement (July to September) between
the 2nd year and
3rd year.
- This is a manual worker or technician-level placement
to deal with a specific problem proposed by the
company.
- A one to three-month placement (July to September)
between the 3rd year and
4th year.
- This is a technician-level placement in an industrial
environment consisting of a technical mission. Students may prepare for their placement by way of literature research under the
supervision of a professor.
- A six-month placement (March to August) at the end of
the 5th
year.
- This long, engineer-level placement is always
completed in an industrial environment and consists
of a mission that is compatible with the students' career plans as devised
with the help of their professors. This placement, completed between March and
September, may be carried out in France or abroad. A thesis on this placement
is then presented to the examining
committee.
