Teaching
Students' career plans are validated by work placements of 8 to 12 months in France or abroad.
EBI offers a 5-year post-A-level training course divided into 2 cycles : a
global preparation cycle and an engineering cycle.

The first two years serve to provide solid basic multidisciplinary
scientific knowledge, nonetheless incorporating knowledge of the workplace,
which is essential for work placements.

| Modules are divided into lectures, tutorials and workshops.
Modules change each semester but a balance is maintained between biology,
mathematics, physics and chemistry.
The language taught at the start of the course is English, enabling
students to obtain the 750 TOEIC points required for
their engineering degree. Students may then learn German, Spanish, Italian,
Chinese or Japanese while keeping up their validated level of English.
Each module is validated by 2 or 3 examinations during the semester. ECTS
credits are given for each validated module.
Engineering cycle
The engineering training is based on the knowledge of company tools and
on two scientific pillars. The latter transform students into operative managers
by providing solid basic knowledge of industrial processes :
industrial biology and industrial engineering.

| At the end of the cycle, students choose one of 4 main subjects offered, depending on
their career plans.
Subsequently, certain classes are compulsory and
students can choose freely among optional classes (minor subjects) with the tutor's help.
